The name Honourable Naomi Benjamin Ogoli is not just a name to all, but, it is a name with unbroken leadership records from when she was a Councilor ward 6, in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state.

The high tension mummy as she was popularly called, in 2004, was appointed as Special Adviser on Women Politics to the then Executive Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Council, High Chief (Hon) Mitema Obordor who is the incumbent member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly representing Ogbia Constituency One, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for Ogbia Federal Constituency (House of Representatives).

This propelled her to higher levels of service as she was again appointed as Director, Women Mobilisation, Green Movement in 2006 and Co-ordinator, Victory Prayer team to the Wife of the immediate past governor of Bayelsa State, Her Excellency Mrs Rachael Dickson, due to her relentless commitment to service and her exceptional impeccable character, generosity and leadership qualities. Thereafter, she was appointed as Co-ordinator Bayelsa State Beautification Committee.

In 2011, the high tension mummy was appointed into the National Council of Women Society as a member while in 2012 as PDP State Women Leader. Owing to her enviable performance, in 2016, she was appointed as Director-General, Centre for Women Development and Employment.

Due to the policy of the past administration’s desire to create gender balance, the former Governor, Chief Henry Seriake Dickson appointed her as Caretaker Committee Chairperson for Ogbia Local Government Council on October 2017 where she continue her selfless service towards uplifting the socio-economic wellbeing of the people.

It is on record that as the chairperson, she worked assiduously to ensure the development and growth of the people of Ogbia Local Government Area. Honourable Ogoli collaborated with all stakeholders to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Ogbia. Indeed, her track records are remarkable and intimidating.

She is God-fearing, passionate, erudite, fashionable, vibrant and indeed a woman of inestimable value and a mother to all.

She is a team player, who pays attention to details on the desires of the people which enable her to plan, organize and work to achieve and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people. The clarion call on her to recontest the 2023 State House of Assembly in Ogbia constituency Three for a second tenure is sequel to her effective representation and unparalleled achievements.
