Stop Circulating Fake News Against Gov Diri -Group warns PDP defect Aspirant

Politicians in Bayelsa state have been advised to desist from acts capable of causing disaffection between Governor of the state, Senator Douye Diri and Senator Henry Seriake Dickson through circulation of false information in the social media.

 The President, Friends of Senator Douye Diri (FSDD), Prince Bodi David Valentine Arerebo gave the advice in an online press briefing with newsmen in Yenagoa.

Prince Bodi who is recuperating from a brief illness, alleged that a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defected aspirant (Name withheld), who failed to win the party's primary has been spreading false information in different social media platforms, aimed at tarnishing and undermining the good image of the Prosperity Government, and its development strides.

He said emphatically that the present administration led by Senator Douye Diri, Governor of state has recorded unprecedented indelible achievements that deserves applaud from all and sundry in the state.

The group President condemned in a very terms the purported publication, which he described as an insult and uncalled for. He called on the mischief maker to render an open apology to the Governor.

He extolled Governor Diri for his successes, and attributed it on his in-depth knowledge, understanding of Government and how he manages the people well through the judicious use of the state resources to improve on their wellbeing.

Describing the governor as an embodiment of maturity in everything, humility, simplicity with God fearing character, he affirmed that he is one of the best Governors we have in the state.

"Gentlemen of the press, I want you to know; One of the best we have as Governors of Bàyelsa state is Governor Douye Diri," he said.

He also lauded the acting Chief of Staff Government House, Pastor Peter Akpe for his administrative competent and contributions toward the successes of the administration.

Prince Bodi used the forum to call on the stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to rally round Governor Diri's led Government to fast track desired development.
