FSDD Presents Exercise Books Worth Thousands of Naira to Managers of Children with HIV in Bayelsa . Charges FSDD LGA Coordinators to Deliverer PDP in 2023

A group under the aegis of Friends of Senator Douye Diri (FSDD) in Bayelsa state has presented Exercise Books Worth Thousands of Naira to Managers of Children with HIV in Bayelsa State.

Making the presentation on Saturday at the Temporary Secretariat of the body at Agudama-Epie in Yenagoa, the President of the Organization, Prince Bodi-Arerebo had said that the gesture is to enhance their academic careers, adding that as children they have the right to be happy and live a better life.

 

He expressed the determination of the organization to extend the gesture to hospitals by way of offering help to sick patients to save lives.

Responding on behalf of recipients, Mr Akpata Joseph, the Community System Strengthening Officer of Synergy Care Development Initiative (SDI), who received the items on behalf of its Executive Director, Mr Maxwell Ati, expressed great joy for the kind gesture, saying that the move would supplement the organization's efforts towards the realisation of its set goals.

According to Mr Akpata the organization was committed in re-enrolling children who are actually out of school to meet their basic needs such as providing exercise books so that they could go back to school.

 " This is actually going to help us. It will go a long way, and we are saying thank you. There are lot of children out of school in the state. This one is a collaborative effort to us and partnership," he said.

Meanwhile, the President, Friends of Senator Douye Diri (FSDD), Prince Bodi-Arerebo has charged the eight Local Government Areas Coordinators of Friends of Senator Douye Diri to work assiduously to ensure the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party  (PDP) in their respective domains during next year's general election.

Prince Bodi-Arerebo who gave the charge on Saturday at the formal inauguration ceremony of the local government areas Coordinators at the Temporary Secretariat of the organization at Agudama-Epie in Yenagoa, pointed out that their sole responsibility is to mobilize and enlightening the electorates by ensuring that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) win the election in their respective vicinities.

He reminded that the primary objective of the body among others is " How to promote Senator Douye Diri, make him sellable so that his second tenure is non-negotiable.

'As we all can see; he is really trying. At least for now, we say Douye Diri is the best Governor. Every nooks and crannies of Bàyelsa he is trying to see how development cut across. That is why you can see roads going on; bridges going on and schools being built as well as education being supported among others.

"And as we are friends, although some people are trying to see how they can create misunderstanding between us but no way. Douye Diri is our friend, we will not allow anybody to separate us for this our good friendship.  We will support him. We will pray for him and by the Special Grace of God he is going to succeed.

'Today is also our fasting and prayers day. Some of   us fasted and prayed for Leaders across Ijaw nation. We prayed for the Governor.  We prayed for all the people working with him. By the Special Grace of God, we are going to succeed. By the Special Grace of the Almighty God, Senator Douye Diri will be voted in without stress for a second tenure," he declared.

In his acceptance speech on behalf of  the eight Local Government Areas Coordinators, the Coordinator for Brass LGA, Mr Gony Onah thanked the FSDD President for the confidence reposed on them and pledged to work relentlessly to achieve the mandate.
