Remains of Late Mrs Azara Jacob Saiyou Laid To Rest In Obunagha

The remains of Late Mrs Azara Jacob Saiyou, Nee Opuomoni Dogo, who died at the age of 86 years was on Friday buried in her home town Obunagha in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

Dignitaries from all walks of life paid homage to the late Matriarch, the mother of Barrister Kubrowei Saiyou, a legal practitioner in the state.

 

Global Overseer reports that tears flowed on Friday as her body was interred in her father's home town- Obunagha in line with the customs and traditions of the people.

Earlier, family and friends had gathered at Koroama town hall where funeral mass was held in her honour.

   

In his tribute on behalf of the family members, Engr Kensueme Saiyou described Late Mrs Azara Jacob Saiyou as a woman of impeccable character who contributed her quota to humanity before her demise.

 He noted her as epitome of human hood, urging the family to continue to keep her legacy  alive.

 In a chat with Global Overseer Editor, her First Son Barrister Kubrowei Saiyou described her late

mother as a virtuous woman, a great mother and a very great mother indeed.

 He remarked that Late Mrs Azara Jacob Saiyou was a quintessential woman with background noted for humility and integrity, adding that her legacies would continue remain fresh in his memory considering her various contributions for his proper upbringing and wellbeing.

Commenting on the large turnout of personalities to her mother's burial, Barrister Saiyou described it as a reward to excellent and good relationship with the members of the Bayelsa state Judiciary and the public.

He expressed profound appreciation to all those who came out to give her late mother the last honour and prayed God to bless them.

 

Notable among the personalities present include Hon Justice Matilda Abrakasa Ayemieye, the Hon Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Senator Felix Oboro, Judges, Chief Asimota Dickson, Barrister White, Hon GodDay Okoko among others.
