Sigah emerges PPC Assembly flagbearer for SILGA Constituency 3

     The aspirant contesting for Southern Ijaw Constituency 3 seat in the State House of Assembly under the platform of the Providence People’s Congress (PPC), Mr Sigah Talford Ebimunu has won the party’s primaries and has been presented with certificate of return as flagbearer of the party in the area.

  The State Chairman of the Party, Mr Clement Okardie performed the presentation ceremony shortly after yesterday’s successful conduct of the party primaries in Yenagoa, capital of Bayelsa state.

   Mr Sigah, a native of Ekewe town in the area; and a Civil Engineer graduate of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), who was the sole aspirant contesting for the position in the party was unanimously voted for by the delegates and returned unopposed.

   Earlier in his opening remarks during the party’s  primaries, the State Chairman of the Party, Mr Okardie described PPC as the party ordained by God to salvage the country from its myriad of socio-economic and political challenges and enhance the living conditions of Nigerians in line with its slogan ‘Get it right, do it right!’

    He enjoined eligible voters in the state to cast their votes for the party during the 2019 general election, adding that the party has no rituals, godfatherism and money bags.

   Meanwhile, speaking to Global Overseer shortly after his victory in Yenagoa, the Flagbearer of the Providence People’s Congress (PPC) in Southern Ijaw Constituency 3 in next year’s State House of Assembly election, Mr Sigah Talford Ebimunu has identified ineffective representation, irresponsible leadership and the perennial underdevelopment of the constituency as some of the motives that compelled him to contest for the seat.

    The PPC flagbearer lamented that the leadership style adopted by their representative has impacted negatively on the soco-economic lives of the people of the constituency thereby denied them the real dividends of democracy.

    He promised that when given the mandate apart from ensuring effective representation of the constituency towards addressing the yearnings and the aspirations of his constituents, he would work assiduously by liaising with the appropriate agencies to ensuring that the Federal Polytechnic at Ekewe is linked to the state capital with a viable motorable road to boost education in the area.

   Mr Sigah also pledged to promote sports to enhance good leadership among other progammes that would create economic self-reliance for the people, particularly the less privilege in the area.
