Workers in fervent prayers over arrears of Salary in Bayelsa

   Across-section of workers and retirees in  Bayelsa state have been thrown into perpetual  fervent prayers  over  payment of arrears of salary and pension owed them.

  Global Overseer correspondent who visited the various government ministries, parastatals and  agencies boldly reveal that  expectations among  worker in the said government organizations were so high to receive arrears of salaries this week arising from the 2016 economic recession that compelled the Restoration Government that has been paying civil servants salaries promptly since inception in 2012 to owe them.

  Some workers who spoke to our correspondent but  pleaded their names not to be mention said, since last week workers in the payroll of government are in  jubilation awaiting  when the payment would commence; but they are yet to receive alert.

  They pleaded with the federal government to facilitate the payment of Bayelsa state civil servants and retirees arrears of salary and pension to ameliorate the economic hardship still facing them sequel to the 2016 economic recession in the country.  

  However, all efforts to confirm when these arrears of salary would be paid has proved abortive as at press time.
