Architect Reuben Okoya canvasses support for PDP candidates • Commend Dickson’s developmental strides

A frontline politician in Bayelsa State, Arch. Reuben Okoya has urged the people of the state to vote for all PDP candidates in the elections.
  Speaking to journalists at the conference hall of Campaign for Democracy and Development in Bayelsa (CDDP) in Yenagoa, Okoya noted that the media is a very strong part of the society.

  He pointed out that the leaders and members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have undertaken serious campaign ahead of the general elections in Bayelsa State led by the governor, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson.
  According to him, PDP has been doing well since 1999, emphasizing that Bayelsa is a PDP State, and PDP should keep ruling the state.
    Okoya remarked that the successful and good performance of PDP should be rewarded by voting for the party candidates in all the elections.
 “Vote for PDP is for prosperity, success, development, progress, empowerment and continuity,” he asserted.
  He further emphasized that he is impressed with what PDP government has done and is doing in Bayelsa State. He is satisfactory with the achievements or giant strides of Dickson- led administration of Bayelsa State.
  While fielding questions from newsmen, Okoya disclosed that the candidates of PDP passed through party screening and primary election and won. Hence, their candidatures have total support of the party.
  He also urged journalists to always confirm their stories before going to press in line with the ethics of their profession. This according to him will enable them get the facts correctly before informing the public.
  Okoya further lauded Governor Henry Seriake Dickson for embarking on the International Airport project which will be of much benefit to the government and people of Bayelsa State.
  The former commissioner urged youths to be peaceful before, during and after the election, adding that several civil society organizations have been campaigning for non-violence before, during and after the election.
  He also urged security agencies not to be partisan and ensure peaceful election.
It is worthy to note that Arch. Rueben Okoya is a philanthropist, accomplished architect, development project manager among others.
