PDP Sold Nomination Forms at Eve of Deadline in Bayelsa - Over 47 Aspirants pick the Forms

Ahead of 2023 general elections over 47 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly Aspirants on Wednesday have picked their expression of interest and nomination forms at the party’s secretariat to contest for the 24 constituency seats in Bayelsa state.

Global Overseer reporter who monitored the exercise reported that aspirants jubilate after collection of the forms though the expression of interest and nomination forms were sold late in the state on the eve of the closing date on Thursday.

According to our reporter aspirants who picked the forms were some Assembly serving lawmakers who want to contest for second, third and fourth tenures and new entrance.

Those who picked the nomination forms are HRH (Dr) Andy Zighadina, Hon (Barr) Tare Porri, Hon Gabriel Michael, Hon Felix Ayah, Hon Timpa Douglas Naingba, Hon Grace Ayakpo Ekiotenne,  Hon Eminah Bioghoemi,  Hon Albenny Robert, Hon West Alalibo, Hon Pamo Werinipre, Hon Ibegu Richard and Barr Adigio Austin.

Others are Hon Okorotie Ebikebina,  Dr Tombra Eneware ,Hon (Mrs) Ebiuwou Obiyai,  Hon. Stanley Braboke, Hon. Wisdom Fafi, Hon Naomi Benjamin Ogoli,  Hon Dr Godbless Nanatumieyeseigha Oyinke,  Pst. Sambo Sataria, Hon Waikumo Amakoromo, Hon Moses Marlon, Hon Alfred Belmote Watson, Hon Ebiowei Fyneman Wilson, Hon (Mrs) Ekeuwei Akandi Josephine, Hon Bernard Sunday Kenebai, Hon Matthew Sele-epri and Barr Preye Ineididie.

Also in the list are Rt. Hon Obolo Bubou , Hon Appah Suoyo Kelvi, Hon Clever Inodu , Chief (Hon) Ayibanegiyefa Egba, Hon Awipi Odudu, Hon Gibson Munalayefa, Hon Oguoh Tamunobere , Hon Michael Magbisa, Pastor Awudumu Cleric, Hon Federal Otokito, Mrs Patience Tamuno Samuel Bramieghen, Chief Hon (Barr) Macdonald Igbadiwei, Hon Mitin Living , Hon Ted Elemeforo, Hon Ebizi Ndiomu- Brown, Hon (Barr) Godswill Iboroma Ikuli, Hon Johnbull Cleopas and Hon (Barr) George Turner.

It would be recalled that the deadline for the purchase and submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2023 general elections was earlier shifted from Friday, April 1 to April 8 and further extended the closing dates.

 Under the new timelines, the last day for the purchase of all forms was extended to Thursday, April 14, 2022, while the last day for the submission of all forms has been extended to April 17, 2022.

The late sale of forms in Bayelsa state means every aspirant must work hard to meet up the deadline.The party in an earlier statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, disclosed that under the adjusted timetable for State House of Assembly: April 19, 2022, National Assembly: April 20, 2022, Governorship: April 21, 2022, and for Presidential: April 25, 2022, have been fixed for screening of aspirants for various positions.
