Media boss extols Apex Academy over its exceptional performance . Charges graduants to imbibe virtues of the school proprietor

The Chairman of BĂ yelsa Federated Newspaper Publishers Association (BAFENPA), Mr Ayebaitari Easterday has extolled Apex Academy over its exceptional performance in the educational sub-sector in Bayelsa state.

Mr Easterday made the commendation in his opening remarks, at the 10th year anniversary and graduation ceremony of the school in Yenagoa.

The Newspaper Publishers Association boss who chaired the event, expressed deep appreciation to the Proprietor of the school, Mr Anthony Ibomoghe for providing the desired infrastructures, conducive learning environment, teaching materials and qualified teachers for the school; thereby achieving optimum academic excellent and raising the standard of education in the state.

 He pointed out that some of the schools that were founded the same period with the Apex Academy are no longer in existence because they couldn't meet up the qualification for accreditation, while some are still bubbling with partial structure, but today, Apex Academy have befitting edifice, conducive learning environment and an environment free from hoodlums.

"Going straight to look at the 10th year anniversary of Apex Academy, the yardstick to measure the maturity of the school are all reliance on the infrastructural development, the human capacity development, relationship with host community, with parents and external public.

‘And therefore, knowing very well that for the past ten years this school has survive up to where it is today. It is not strange to some of us that Apex Academy has remain a solid learning ground for our feature Leaders.

Last year we came here and identified the quality of persons that have graduated from the nursery, primary and from the Junior Secondary. Today, here, we are meeting again to celebrate the graduation of another set, and also to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the school.

And so, for me as one that is conscripted to be the chairman of the programme, I see the maturity of this school.

There are lot of schools that were founded the same period with Apex Academy that are no longer in existence. Some of them couldn't meet up the qualification for accreditation and are no longer existing.  Some of them are still bubbling with partial structures. But today, we have an edifice here, a very conducive learning environment and an environment that is free of interference by hoodlums.

And therefore, I wish to thank the Proprietor of the of the school for this innovation," he stated.

 He charged the outgoing graduating students to imbibe, sustain and exhibit the exemplary character of the Proprietor as well as the knowledge they have acquired from the school to excel in their future career to become useful in society.

Mr Easterday also enjoined parents to inculcate their children good moral behaviour at home and churches, but not to be left to the school alone to better their future lives.

 Earlier in her speech, the Director of the school, Ruth Egbejure had said that the school which was founded on September 12, 2012 has attained rapid growth and academic excellent for its learners.

According to her the school started with Creche, Pre-nursery, Basic 1-5, and JSS1 but now has gotten all secondary classes   as well as held the yearly West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) examinations.

She described the availability of facilities such as science, computer, Home-Economics and music laboratories, library, conference hall, school buses and other vital amenities as an evidence of the school's effortless passion to providing its learners the best.

Egbejure affirmed that the school was not left out with its termly extra-curricular activities, external competitions such as Cowbell, Mathematics, Spell-Bee Competitions, inter-house sports and many others as part of acquisition and broading of knowledge.

She lauded parents of the pupil's and students of the school for their various contributions to achieve the desired set goals of the institutions. She expressed the commitment and the determination of the Proprietor of the School, management and staff to partner with them to better the lot of the children.

Also speaking, the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Chairperson of the school, Dr (Mrs) Ifeoma Anyiam pledged the continuous support and cooperation of the body for the progress of the school.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of certificates to the graduants, gifts to deserving outstanding Ex-students/Ex-staff members as well as staff by the Proprietress of the school, Mrs Ibomoghe.
