Group Congratulates Gov. Diri over exceptional concern showed to flood victims . Appeal to include Ekoli road in 2023 budget

A socio-economic and development-oriented organization under the auspices of Bayelsa Coalition for Dynamic Change and National Orientation (BCDCNO) has felicitated with the governor of Bayelsa state, Senator Douye Diri over the exceptional concern he had shown to the communities and the people of the state arising from the devastating effects of this year’s flood.

 The body in a congratulatory message signed by it’s Director-General, Comrade Majesty Inegbagha described the gesture as an eloquent testimony of good leadership, adding that the governor is rare man of wisdom occasioned with unparalleled wealth of experience, thus manifesting the obvious fact that his entry into politics was borne out of his desire to render selfless service to the people, and address the myriad of challenges confronting them to meet their yearnings and the aspirations.

 Inegbagha asserted that Senator Diri’s enviable track record of achievements and his competence in administering the affairs of the state was a clear indication that he is more prepare than anyone else to improve service delivery.

“He is the best and the most prepared to rule Bayelsa. We have not seen a listening Governor like you. Your tour around the nooks and crannies of the state to meet with the flood victims devoid of sentiments and discrimination manifest that you are a consummate democrat who has the mind of a genius and is not ruled by caprices and emotion. More grease to your elbow,” the group said.

The organization whose main objectives is to collaborate with the state and the federal government to promote peace and stability, good governance, national cohesion as well as growth and development to enhance the socio-economic and political wellbeing of the people, pledged its total support to the present administration in the state led by Senator Douye Diri to move the state forward.

He added that one of its responsibility is to ensure that government policies and programmes are better understood by the general public through enlightenments and workshops; as well as mobilizing favourable opinion for such programmes and policies.

According to Comrade Inegbagha other objectives of the organization include to awaken the consciousness of Nigerians to their civic responsibilities to the promotion of national unity, citizen’s commitment to their human rights to build a free, just and progressive society.

It also added its objective to establish appropriate national framework for educating, orientating and indoctrinating Nigerians toward developing socially desirable attitudes, values and culture which project individual’s national pride’ and positive national image for Bayelsa and Nigeria.

He added that the body is to encourage the people to take part actively and freely in discussions of matters affecting their general welfare, instill in the populace a sense of absolute loyalty to the fatherland, and ensure and uphold leadership by example as well as foster respect for constituted authority.

The body used the forum to appeal to the Governor to include the abandoned Ekoli- Ayakoro-Ologi-Anyama- Okodi- Emadike road started by his predecessor in the 2023 budget to enhance development in the area.
