Group launches book for APC presidential candidate

Ahead of the 2023 general election, a support group, Think Tinubu Movement (TTM), on Thursday, stressed the need for Nigerians to support and vote the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, given his antecedents as Lagos State Governor.

The Director General of the group, Segun Afolorunmikan, who stated this at a book launch titled: ‘The Recountal – An antidote to unfair criticism – Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,’ held in Lagos, said the book extolled the established accomplishments and footprints of contemporary Nigeria’s most outstanding political icon.

Afolorunnikan said the book is one in the series of the group’s determined and focused strides to ensure that no stone is left unturned in promoting, educating and informing Nigerians and indeed the electorate about the attributes that stand Tinubu out.

He said Tinubu is the most qualified and best candidate for Nigeria’s president notwithstanding unfounded and unfair criticism of his person.

He said: “I take the opportunity of this address to especially thank our noteworthy partners who have not only continuously and unrelentingly worked hard to campaign for Asiwaju Tinubu and the APC in all the states, local governments, wards and polling units across the country.

“Let me reiterate that your untiring commitment and notably increased tempo of grassroots, house-to-house, door-to-door and family-to-family mobilisation is well noted and no doubt will achieve the expected results with joy.

“It was in furtherance of these efforts that we recently held a very successful and robust youth self-agenda setting and mobilisation programme in Abuja. We will keep pushing with new commitments and focus without looking back until Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is sworn in as the next president of Nigeria.”

On his part, the author of the book, Samuel Soyombo, said the book is in support of Tinubu’s 2023 presidential ambition.

He said people criticise Tinubu unjustly since he left office as the governor of Lagos State about 15 years ago.

Soyombo said despite the allegations and accusations of corruption against him, the former governor remains the best man to take Nigeria to the promised land.

He noted that those criticising Tinubu have no empirical evidence to back up their allegations that the man is corrupt and unfit to lead Nigeria.
