Abiodun Expresses Optimism Over PDP's Victory in 2027 *Predicts Party's Victory in Bayelsa Guber, Other Elections

A Chieftain of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and  former Member of the Nigeria House of Representatives in the 8th National Assembly, Oyo State, and Chairman Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  State Electoral Congress Committee, Bayelsa State, Hon Olasupo Abiodun  has expressed optimism over the party's victory in  2027.

Abiodun made the remarks in Yenagoa, on Saturday while answering questions with newsmen.

Abiodun who is optimistic of the party's victory, said the party has put everything in place to recover it's 2015 lost mandate through numerous activities, including the setting up of reconciliation committee for exclusive states that have problems to put the house in order.

"We have started the process to make  the party more stronger than before to takeover powers in 2027. We have started. Activities are going on here and there. A committee has been set up for reconciliation and the leadership of the party are looking for exclusive states where we have problems.

' Hopefully, we started early in 2024. By the special grace of God, before the end of next year 2025 Nigeria will see a brand new and strong purposeful PDP that will be ready for 2027," he asserted.

On the party's victory in 2027 elections in Bayelsa, the former lawmaker expressed confidence that PDP will win the governorship and all other elections in the state.

This, he affirmed because PDP is the only party in the state, which he described as members of one family.

He described the incumbent governor of the state, Senator Douye Diri as man of unity and selflessness. He asserted that he has reconciled over 99 percent of the party members who had defected and brought them back to the party, apart from the unity that he has built in the party among its members.

On the issue on zoning, he said the party respect zoning, in order to avoid internal wrangling that might cause disaffection among party members, noting that peace is the pre-requisite of the success of any organization.
