Bayelsa Assembly Read Two Bills for First Reading *Invites 2 Nominees for Confirmation

 At its  plenary on Thursday, presided  by the Speaker, Rt. Hon Abraham Ingobere, the Bayelsa State House of Assembly has read two bills for first reading.

 

The two bills sponsored by the Leader of the House, and member representing Southern Ijaw Constituency 2, Rt. Hon Monday Bubou Edwin Obolo Ph.D, are Special Matter Court (Education) Repeal Bill(BYSHA/7B.15), 2024, and University of Africa Toru- Orua (Amendment) Bill (BYSHA/7B.16), 2024.

In another development, the House also invited two Bayelsa State Local Government Service Commission nominees for confirmation on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

The nominees are Chief Lambert Ototo Sunday- Chairman and Cleopas Carter- Member.
