Stakeholder Describes NDDC Distractors As Enemies of Tinubu’s 2027 *Warned them to leave NDDC alone

A stakeholder of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Comrade Inegbagha Majesty has described the distractors of the Commission propagating fabricated information as persons sponsored by those having hiding agenda to work against President Bola Tinubu's 2027 presidential ambition.

Comrade Inegbagha who made the assertion in a chat with journalists on Tuesday, in Yenagoa, while reacting against the continuous propagation of fabricated stories against NDDC Governing Board led by Mr Chiedu Ebie, Board Chairman and Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director/CEO of the Commission, who are adamant supporters of President Tinubu's presidential ambition in 2027.

He noted that it is just a year and few months now when the substantive board was inaugurated, the duo have worked assiduously to record exceptional and unprecedented achievements that attract the people to the Tinubu led administration at the nooks and crannies of the region.

Warning those fanning embers of envy, hatred and disunity to cause disaffection to desist forthwith, he reminded them that there is no amount of false information dissemination against the Commission will distract its genuine intention to deliver NDDC mandate.

Inegbagha wondered why the so called distractors would focus on NDDC alone while there are many Governing Boards, Commissions and Agencies headed by Niger Deltans.

He further brought to the notice of those sponsoring the aforesaid distractors with the inordinate ulterior motive to take over the management of NDDC and jettison to deliver its mandate, and amass wealth that would be used to work against APC incumbent President in 2027, that “Section 4 of NDDC Act provides that a member of the Board other than ex-officio member , shall hold office for a term of four years at the first instance and may be reappointed for a further term of four years and no more."

Inegbagha recalled that under former President Muhammadu Buhari's administration, NDDC's affairs was administer by Interim Management Committee (IMC) and a Sole Administrator where stakeholders sought for constitution of a substantive Board which President Tinubu's administration inaugurated just a year and few months now.

He questioned why unpatriotic Niger Deltans will still be propagating false information against the substantive Commission stakeholders persistently fought for inauguration and President Tinubu did it, even as the current Commission perform exceptional well than their predecessors. He noted that the current NDDC led by Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku is deliberately improving the transparency of its process, leveraging technology to increase accountability and efficiency, consulting stakeholders frequently, engaging proactively, and being creative about programmes designed to uplift the people and the region.

He stated emphatically that “owing to his outstanding performance, stakeholders of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) have continue to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his appointment of Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku of Bayelsa state as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Commission.

They described Mr President Choice of Ogbuku to pilot the affairs of the Commission as one of the best things that have happened in the region owing to Ogbuku's impeccable character and extraordinary performance towards the actualization of NDDC mandate within the short period in office,” he stated.

According to Comrade Inegbagha his good leadership has brought in a new period of accountability, transparency, and impactful development, transforming the NDDC into a truthfully effective agent of change for the betterment of stakeholders.

Ogbuku's good leadership, he said has been characterized by a persistent attention on delivering touchable results; saying that his achievements are not mere pomposity but concrete evidence of his commitment to the NDDC's mandate which he pursues with firmness of purpose.

On Infrastructure Development, Ogbuku's leadership, has embarked on a massive infrastructure development programme on projects that have direct effect on the lives of the people. These, he said include the construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, and other desiring projects.

On human capital development, he recognizes the importance of education and skills development, and has spearheaded initiatives that empower the youth of the Niger Delta. These includes scholarships, vocational training programmes, and entrepreneurship support, equipping young people with the tools they need to succeed.

The MD has taken an active tactic to addressing the environmental challenges facing the Niger Delta with initiatives to clean up oil spills, restore degraded ecosystems, and promote sustainable environmental practices, noting that true development can only be achieved through active community engagement.

According to Comrade Inegbagha, his l;eadership has brought a new level of transparency to the NDDC, ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently through rigorous auditing processes and public reporting, promoting accountability and confidence, adding that he envisions a region where communities are empowered, economies are diversified, and the environment is protected.
