Cleric Attributes Ogbuku's Exceptional Performance as God's Special love for his life

 *Dignitaries from all Walks of life irrespective of political affiliations attend Ogbuku's 50th Birthday Thanksgiving service

Dignitaries from all walks of life irrespective of their political affiliations on Sunday attended the 50th Birthday Thanksgiving service of the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Dr Samuel Ogbuku' in large number at St. Mark Anglican Church, Ayakoro in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state.

 The Bishop of the Diocese of Ogbia. Rt. Rev. Tamunotari Matthew Obaze, while delivering his sermon lauded the virtues of Dr Samuel Ogbuku, commending his

enormous contributions to the development of the Niger Delta region.

Bishop Obaze attributed the numerous exceptional achievements of Dr Ogbuku' as God's Special love for his life.

The cleric, who applauded the NDDC boss for recognising God's favour in his life, said such an act is a gateway to more blessings for mankind.

His sermon which he took from the Book of Psalms 103, themed “There is a reason to praise God, “the cleric enjoined everyone to learn to appreciate the love of God in every situation, as demonstrated by the NDDC boss.

"It is essential for me to use this opportunity to thank God for what He is doing in the region through the Managing Director of NDDC, which is a clear indication of God's special love for his life.

" Needless to say, he has encountered various challenges in life, yet he deemed it fit to come and appreciate God's goodness upon him, and I want to encourage every participant, everyone, to learn from this trait of thanking God in good and bad times. Just within 50 years, God has used him to impact people's lives," he stated.

He further praised the NDDC’s helmsman for being a true son of the soil, adding that the church and the region were confident in the leadership qualities of Chief Samuel Ogbuku in bringing the dividends of democracy to the entire area.

In his appreciation remarks, the Managing Director, Dr Samuel Ogboku, said the ceremony was put together to honour God for the love and achievements recorded in the region through the Commission under his watch.

The NDDC boss also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing him, the board and management of the Commission, as well as staff who have contributed to his successes over the years.

He further stated that NDDC was committed to the ideal of partnering with the Bayelsa State Government in the area of development and human capacity building.

The Governor of the state, Senator Douye Diri who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Government House, Hon. Peter Akpe also commended Ogbuku for his outstanding performance, describing him as a man who is very open to the youth, elderly, a man who is hardworking, decent, and a man who  recognizes the progress of the Niger Delta region.

 In his goodwill message, the Chairman of Ogbia local government council, Mr Golden Jeremiah likened NDDC Boss, Dr Samuel Ogbuku to the late sage, Senator Chief Melford Obiene Okilo of blessed memory, asserting that Dr Ogbuku has written his name in gold in the Niger Delta over his remarkable indelible achievements; projecting Ogbia people as agents of positive transformations.

Mr Jeremiah urged the people of the Ogbia Kingdom to unite and live as inseparable entity to foster peace, unity and development.

The council boss noted that at 50, Ogbuku has recorded ineffaceable achievements that uplift the living conditions of the people, and prayed for long life, good health and prosperity for Ogbuku.

Others who spoke at his 50th birthday Thanksgiving service lauded his transformational leadership and service to the Niger Delta region, stressing on his commitment to infrastructure, health, education, empowerment and environmental remediation projects, as well as his transparent reorganization of the NDDC for improved service delivery.

They described Dr. Ogbuku as a transformative leader who has given the NDDC a "new lease of life" and brought "remarkable development" to the region.

The also  extolled him for his deep and genuine commitment to the transformation of the Niger Delta, inspiring hope for the region's future.

They expressed pride in Dr. Ogbuku's achievements, noting his ability to turn around the fortune of the NDDC people.

Some of the dignitaries, including the NDDC Executive Director, Projects, Dr Victor Antai, and the Bayelsa State Representative on the Board of NDDC, Senator Dimaro Denyanbofa, and other Directors of the Commission, Members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and State Executive Council, among top government functionaries  attended the birthday Thanksgiving service.
