Group Extols Southern Ijaw LG Chairman Over Exemplary Leadership, Indelible Achievements

A group under the aegis of Bayelsa Federated Newspaper Publishers Association (BAFENPA), the apex newspaper Publishing Organization in Bayelsa State has commended the Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Council, Hon. Target Isaiah Segibo for his exemplary leadership and indelible achievements within this short period on inception to office.

The Chairman of the body, Chief Jones Abiri made the commendation when the Executive of the association paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Thursday.

Chief Abiri who spoke through the Executive Secretary of of BAFENPA, Mr Eric Eweke , added that Hon Segibo has demonstrated unprecedented exemplary inclusiveness in governance, and result-oriented transformative turn around in infrastructural landscape of the area and policies that engender grassroot development.

He further lauded the council boss for promoting peace to foster socio-economic and political advancement of the area.

The body heartily expressed deep and sincere appreciation to Hon Target Isaiah Segibo for appointing the immediate past Executive Chairman of the Association, Hon Dr. Ayibaitari Easterday as his Chief Press Secretary.

He maintained that since his inception to office  the body has been effectively disseminating the policies and programme of the council and pledged to do more.

He informed the council boss that the visit was to also solicit his acceptance to be the patron of the association.

In his response, the Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Council thanked the organization for the visit, and pledged to collaborate with the Media to enhance effective dissemination of the policies and programmes of the council to the heterogeneous public.

He reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the council to continue promoting peace, noting that it is the pre-requisite for development.

The council boss accepted to be the patron of the apex newspaper Publishing association in Bayelsa state.
