Apex Newspaper Publishers Organisation Confers Southern Ijaw LG Chairman Life Time Patron Award

The Bayelsa Federated Newspaper Publishers Association (BAFENPA), the apex body of newspaper publishers in the state on Tuesday conferred the Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Council with Meritorious Life Time Patron Award over his exemplary achievements.

Presenting the award , chairman of the association Chief Jones Iniekenimi Abiri said the award was in recognition of Hon. Target Isaiah Segibo  unparalleled proven track record of performance, selflessness and transformative turn around in infrastructural landscape of the area and policies that engender grassroot development.

The BAFENPA boss extolled the sterling leadership qualities of Hon Target Isaiah Segibo whom he said is a liberal man right from the time he joined politics till date, noting his commitment to Community development and the welfare of the people.

" This award is a small token of our association appreciation for your tireless efforts and selfless service to the people of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, and your total commitment towards  actualising Governor Douye Diri led Prosperity Agenda in providing amenities that have direct bearing on the lives of rural dwellers," Abiri stated.

Chief Abiri reiterated the association commitment to disseminate the policies and the programmes of the Council to promote peace, unity and development in the area.

In his response, Hon Target Isaiah Segibo, Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Council lauded the members of the association for finding him worthy for such award, adding that the award would continue to spur him in life.

In her vote of thanks the Vice Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Council, Dr. Mrs Ekeuwei Josephine described the award conferred on the local government Chairman, Hon Target Isaiah Segibo as well deserved and a testament of his exceptional Leadership qualities and good governance of the area.
