Ogbuku reaffirms NDDC commitment to harnessing Niger Delta agricultural potential

NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, has reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to harnessing the Niger Delta’s agricultural potential to ensure food security and sustainable development.

Speaking at the two-day Strategic Stakeholders Meeting in Port Harcourt, he noted that the region has the capacity to feed the nation beyond its oil and gas resources.

 He stressed that food security aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and called for greater focus on agriculture alongside infrastructure development.

. Dr. Ogbuku added that the meeting would lead to a Regional Agricultural Summit and the creation of a research-based framework to guide agricultural investment and decision-making in the region.
