S/South Elect New Squash Association Chairman

Engineer Iniobong Esuene of Akwa Ibom State has been elected as the Chairman of the South South Squash Association. The election which was held in Benin saw Engineer Esuene returned unopposed to emerge Chairman.

Engineer Esuene who spoke to the press shortly after the election said it was time to take the game in the South South to the next level.
The Eket Born Engineer who runs a squash academy for children in Eket, noted that children from the region will soon compete with their peers across the globe and win laurels for Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the Bayelsa State Squash Association Chairman, Comrade Tarinyo Akono while congratulating the Engineer Esuene expressed confidence in the ability of the new Chairman to push the game forward.
Akono described Engineer Esuene as focused and committed to the game of Squash, saying that squash will see better days under him.
He however called on corporate bodies and well meaning individuals in the region to sponsor turnaments in their name to boost the growth of the game.
The former NUJ Boss used the occasion to commended the Commissioner of Health, Professor Seiyefa Brisbe for building twin squash courts in Yenagoa to boost the game, adding that it was a passion driven project.
