DG Warns Against Attempts To Subvert NDC Primary Result For Sagbama Constituency 2 *Says Felix Wilson's victory is non negotiable

The Director -General of Team Wilson 2027, Mr. Tony Famous, has reaffirmed the victory of Deacon Felix Wilson in the recently concluded primary election of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Sagbama Constituency 2 in the forthcoming Bayelsa State House of Assembly elections, describing the outcome as a clear and indisputable mandate freely given by party supporters and stakeholders.

Addressing journalists in Yenagoa on Sunday on behalf of Team Wilson 2027, Mr. Famous congratulated Deacon Wilson on what he described as a decisive victory and cautioned against attempts by any individual or group to undermine the outcome of the democratic process.

According to Mr. Famous, the primary election witnessed an impressive turnout of supporters from communities across the creeks of Sagbama Local Government Area and Sagbama Town, all of whom participated peacefully in the exercise conducted by the party.

He explained that the primary election commenced after the confirmation of key party candidates for various elective positions and was conducted in line with the established guidelines of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

He said in accordance with the party's procedures, supporters queued openly behind their preferred aspirants for accreditation and counting and at the end of the exercise, Deacon Felix Wilson secured 855 votes, while Hon. Michael Magbisa polled 422 votes. 

The DG of Team Wilson 2027 noted that with a clear margin of 433 votes, Deacon Felix Wilson emerged as the winner of the primary election and that the result was transparent, credible and reflected the overwhelming choice of party members and supporters across Sagbama Constituency 2

Mr. Famous expressed concern over what he described as ongoing attempts by certain persons to spread misinformation and create uncertainty regarding the authentic outcome of the primary election.

 "The facts are straightforward and cannot be altered by propaganda or blackmail.  Hon. Felix Wilson won the primary election fairly and convincingly. Any attempt to subvert the will of party members or interfere with the compilation of the final list of candidates would amount to an attack on the democratic rights of those who participated in the process," he said

He further called on the leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress and all relevant authorities to ensure that the outcome of the primary election is respected and that the mandate freely given to Deacon Wilson is protected.

"Deacon Felix Wilson remains the duly elected, authentic and legitimate candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress for Sagbama Constituency II in the forthcoming Bayelsa State House of Assembly election. We urge all stakeholders to respect the wishes of the people and uphold the integrity of the party's democratic processes," Mr. Famous added.

Also speaking in support of the position of Team Wilson 2027 were prominent members of the campaign structure, including Ekadd Tenbebe Desire, Romeo Richman, Henry Brisibe, Jessica Sepele, and Alemu Eteimowei, who unanimously endorsed the outcome of the primary election and congratulated Deacon Wilson on his victory.

The group maintained that the primary election was conducted in a peaceful and transparent manner and expressed confidence that Deacon Wilson would provide effective representation for the people of Sagbama Constituency II if elected into the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

Team Wilson 2027 therefore called on party supporters across the constituency to remain united, peaceful and focused on the task ahead as preparations commence for the general election.
