Ahead of 2027 Election: Gov Uzofimma Donates Campaign Buses to 27 LGA Chairmen, Others

Governor Hope Uzodimma has charged the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State to work for a total victory for the party in the 2027 general elections, declaring that 99.9 percent will be unacceptable.

The Governor gave the charge on Saturday at Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC) while presenting campaign buses to APC party leaders across the state to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The vehicles include 27 buses for the 27 APC Local Government Area Chairmen, three buses for the three Zonal Chairmen, one bus for the State Women Leader and one bus for the State Youth Leader.

Speaking at the event, Governor Uzodimma said the party had the material to campaign successfully, particularly with the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.

"We have the material to campaign because President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done tremendously well. Even our opponents will vote for President Tinubu,” the Governor said.

He declared that the party must secure a complete victory in the state, stressing that anything short of 100 percent would not be acceptable.

"Imo is APC and APC is Imo. We will deliver 100 percent. 99.9 percent will be unacceptable.”

The Governor further said that genuine supporters and friends of his administration should demonstrate their support by voting for the APC and President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

"If you are my friend, the only way you can let me know you are my friend is when you vote for APC and support President Tinubu,” he said.

Governor Uzodimma explained that the campaign vehicles were provided to strengthen the party at the grassroots and assist its leaders in carrying the party's message across the state.

“Today we want to support our party chairmen for the tasks ahead. If you say that party is supreme, this is the time,” he said.

He urged the beneficiaries to ensure that the buses were deployed strictly for party mobilisation.

“Please use the vehicles for the party. It is important that the vehicles must be used to work for the party,” the Governor added.

Earlier, the APC State Chairman, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, thanked Governor Uzodimma for the gesture, saying the buses would enable party leaders to take the message of the APC to every nook and cranny of Imo State.

Onyedebelu pledged that the party would work to deliver all APC candidates, from the President down to candidates contesting seats in the State Houses of Assembly.

He described the Governor's support as a demonstration of commitment to strengthening the party and assured him that he would not be let down.

Also speaking, the APC South East Zonal Vice Chairman, Chief Ijeoma Arodiogbu, thanked the Governor for providing the campaign buses, describing him as “a man of grace.”

Arodiogbu charged the party officers to deploy the vehicles effectively for grassroots mobilisation, warning that the party would not tolerate excuses in the drive towards victory in 2027.

With the distribution of the 32 campaign buses, the APC leadership in Imo State is expected to intensify grassroots mobilisation across the state's 27 local government areas as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
