FRSC debunks allegation in Bayelsa

   The Public Relations Officer of the Bayelsa state Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Faith Igbagara has debunked insinuations at some quarters alleging that the Sector Commander Mr Ikechukwu Lawrence Igwe has ordered the patrolling teams of the command to generate N200,000 daily resulting to frequent checking of Keke riders and motorists in the state.

   Reacting against the allegation in a chat with Global Overseer in a phone call yesterday (Saturday) at about 05.07pm, the Sector Command Public Relations Officer said emphatically that the allegation was spurious and baseless.

  She pointed out that the command received monthly allocations from the federal government saying that such directive was unfounded.

 According to her the Head of Operations in the command would have been aware if such directive has been issued out in the command, asserting categorically that the insinuation being peddle has no iota of truth.

  But our source alleged that there were complains in the command over the alleged directive that left no day spare in the working days to go out for patrolling.

  Check indicate that the activities of the command in the state undoubtedly is constituting hold up daily along Chief Melford Okilo and Isaac Boro Expressways as a result of frequent checking of motorists and Keke Riders in the state.

  According to our findings different patrolling team of the command are found at strategic points on the same road carrying out checking of motorists and Keke riders daily in the state.
