Gwegwe pledges to review Igodo’s Panel Report, pay workers promotion arrears immediately elected

 His Highness Righteous Okpoebi Gwegwe (JP), the Ogiligba I of Atissa Kingdom who is contesting in the November 16 governorship election in Bayelsa state under the platform of Save Nigeria Congress (SNC) has pledged to review Igodo’s Panel Report, pay workers promotion arrears immediately elected.

   Gwegwe made assertion while addressing his supports in a ceremony which took place at his hometown Obogoro in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.

    Presenting his manifesto at the occasion, Chief Gwegwe said when elected his administration will provide leadership by sincerely ensuring that it runs a people oriented government for the corporate interest of the people of the state.

According to him, this will be achieved by introducing participatory rural appraisal approach model of inclusive governance.

This, he said was aimed at sparking scientific and technological innovations, lead positive change agenda with focus on rural areas.

He added that he would effect reforms by shifting from the present way of governance which promotes poverty, criminality and ignorance among others to a more viable and credible way of governance. His administration, he added will recruit, train and continuously re-train public policy implementers.

He noted that the move would change the looting perspective and eventually pave way for the emergence of God fearing new leaders.

Chief Gwegwe also promised to formulate programmes and policies to actualize peaceful, prosperous and smart targets and develop city state that will emerge from the main Yenagoa to all the oceanic boundaries of the state such as Ekeremor-Agge road, Oporoma-Ukubie road, Nembe-Brass road and also to complete the Agge Deep Seaport to boost the internal revenue of the state.

The SNC guber candidate also pledged to operate free education policy from primary to secondary level while the current hike of school fees in state owned tertiary institutions must be drastically reduce to barest minimum to enable parents send their children to school. He added that his administration would also attach maximum priority in the health sector by ensure effective and efficient healthcare delivery.

In a bid to curb the problems of mass unemployment in the state, Chief Gwegwe pledges to set up 24 constituency industries at the constituency headquarters of the state to provide employment opportunities for the youths.

Noting that families play a key role in the social engineering, Chief Gwegwe said if elected he would empower women in the state in order to help them stabilize the conduct of their children from tender age to adult to enhance good behaviour.

He also promised to reform the state public service by reviewing any obnoxious policies that undermine the welfare of workers in the state and restore the dignity of labour.

According to him his administration would pay the backlog of promotion arrears the current administration owns workers and ensure that salary to workers were paid before the end of the month.

He assured pensioners of regular payment of pensions while the backlog of gratuities owed them will be paid every month as soon as he assumed office.

“The workers who are crying for restoration of their labour and payment of pension and gratuities shall find redemption and the Igodo panel report shall also be reviewed when elected.

Our government believes in one Bayelsa, and so we will run an all inclusive government without marginalizing any tribe. As we lead through, the mandate of the people will surely be our topmost priority and Bayelsans will testify that our government has positively affected or changed the living conditions of rural communities and that of the urban dwellers”, he stated.

According to the SNC governorship candidate, he as a grassroot and frontline politicians in the state knows the basic developmental challenges of the state and the people.

He pledged to provide all the basic infrastructures needed to make life more meaningful for the people and call on Bayelsans to vote for his party.
