Senator Degi-Eremienyo dedicates Tribunal victory to God, teeming mammoth supporters

Biobarakuma W. Degi-Eremienyo has dedicated his victory of the last Friday’s
Tribunal Judgment in Abuja to God Almighty and his teeming mammoth supporters
in Bayelsa state.

Senator Degi-Eremienyo in a “Thank You” statement issued in Yenagoa,
capital of Bayelsa state, has welcomed the judgment of the Bayelsa Election
Petitions Tribunal in Abuja, which upheld his election as Senator representing
Bayelsa East.
He described the judgment as a triumph for democracy and affirmation of
the level of confidence the electorates had in him, attributable to his wisdom,
experience in politics, sense of engagement and devotion to the service and
protection of the interests of the people of the Senatorial District especially
as it relate to prosperity, wellbeing and security of the people.
Describing the judiciary as the last hope of the people in a political
desert of despair, Senator Degi-Eremienyo lauded the judiciary for delivery
righteous judgment that salvages the oppressed from the oppressors.
He called for all and sundry in the state irrespective of their political
leanings, particularly those from his Senatorial District for their continuous
support to enable him actualize his dream and statutory responsibilities as a
Senator for the betterment of all.
Degi-Eremienyo stressed the need for collaboration to deepen the
democratic content of the polity by embracing the spirit of sportsmanship in politics,
but not as a do or die affairs, to build a senatorial district of collective
desire, adding that the judgment of the tribunal is victory for all.

The Senator expressed profound appreciation to the Minister for Petroleum
for State, former Governor of Bayelsa State and the Political Leader of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), Bayelsa State Chapter, Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva,
the National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, National Executive and
NWC of the party, Bayelsa State Working Committee of the Party, Party
Stalwarts, Members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, his mammoth
teeming supporters, the Senatorial District and the entire electorates, friends
and well-wishers amongst others for their prayers and various support which
facilitated his victory at the poll and the tribunal judgment.

Senator Eremienyo expressed his determination to carry everybody along
in his administration, and appealed to all Bayelsans to eschew the mistakes of
the past and throw their overwhelming weight behind the All Progressives
Congress’s (APC) candidate in the November 16 governorship election in the
state in order to salvage the state from the shackle of poverty, deprivation
and under development.
