APC Aspirant Expresses Optimism to Win in Bayelsa . Pledges to build constituency office in Ekeremor

A renowned grassroot politicians, activist, businessman and former Secretary of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), contesting for Bayelsa State House of Assembly under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekeremor Constituency Two, Hon (Barr) Amb. Ofiyou Dennis Ogbofini Esq, has expressed optimism to win the 2023 general election.

Barrister Ogbofini made the remark after purchasing his expression of interest and nomination forms on Monday when he led mammoth crowd of supporters, comprising youths, women, various organizations and people from different walk of life to the party’s secretariat in Yenagoa. According to him, his decision to join the race was informed by this desired to touch lives at the grassroot and transform the masses, adding that the move was also in response to the clarion calls by the people on him to contest for the seat.

Barrister Ogbofini who was known for his generosity, foresight, effectiveness and sterling leadership qualities; and as a man of impeccable character who attached important to public interest above personal gains, maintained that when he win the election and sworn-in he will build a constituency office at Ekeremor Town, the headquarters of the constituency in order to afford regular meetings with the constituents to move the constituency forward.

Noting that the legislature is the democratic platform and catalyst for nation/states to make laws for creating an enabling environment for sustainable development, he said his mission is to join his colleagues make laws that will ensure good governance, representing the will of the people in the process ensuring judicious use of the resources of the state in order for Bayelsans to receive maximum benefit.

Reassuring his victory at the poll, he pointed out that he has no doubt the delegates will vote for a person embodied with transparent, dynamic, visionary and development-oriented qualities which are embedded in him, to ensure effective representation to ameliorate the development challenges of the people in the area.

He also expressed his determination to liaise with the executive arm of the state government to provide basic infrastructures that would uplift the living condition of the people of the area.

The grassroot politician also used the forum to commend the All Progressives Congress leader of Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva for his exceptional visionary leadership in moving the party forward in the state.
