This, Global Overseer reliably gathered may not be unconnected with lack of support to win the primaries, adding the fact that their main motive for joining the contest was to seek for negotiation for recognition for political appointments under President-elect forthcoming administration.

Global Overseer findings revealed that majority of the governorship aspirants do not have any manifesto or an agenda on the motive behind their governorship ambition to rule the state if elected.

Our investigations further unveiled that some of them are not accessible and does not want to talk to the press on their governorship ambition.

An impeccable source also attributed the lack of seriousness by some of the aspirants as a result of being sponsored by not APC members to create crisis in the party after the governorship primaries.

It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fixed November 11, 2023 for the conduct of the governorship election in the State.

Those cleared for Bayelsa State by the APC screening panel are the APC Leader of Bayelsa and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Chief Timipre Sylva, Chief David Pereworimini Lyon who was declared winner by INEC Returning Officer and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Faraday Orunmuwese having polled a total of 352,552 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Duoye Diri, who polled 143,172 votes in 2019 governorship election,  Prof. Ongoebi Etebu Maureen, the first female Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the annals of Nigerian history and belongs in the league of legends; and a onetime Vice Chancellor of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko who has 3 PhDs.

Others are Joshua Maciver the Coordinator of Tantita Security Services Ltd, (Bayelsa Operations), Festus Daumiebi Sunday former APC Bayelsa Central Senatorial Candidate and Ogbomade Isikima Johnson.
