Ogbia LG Council Receives Ambassador Aworabhi Corpse, Holds Valedictory Session

 The corpse of late Ambassador Eric T. Aworabhi which arrived on Friday at Ogbia Local Government Council for Valedictory Session was received by the Executive  Chairman of the Council, Hon Golden Jeremiah.

The Council boss extolled the Sterling leadership qualities of the Deceased, noting that late Amb. Aworabhi was the pioneer Sole Administrator of Ogbia Local Government Council in 1996, who had laid the foundation of the council. 

 He highlighted the remarkable achievements of the sage during the valedictory session, stating that he knew the late sage as the chairman of a Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee that mediated between two Ogbia communities in dispute and that the wisdom displayed by the late Amb. Aworabhi in resolving that dispute was uncanny and that made him respected the Ambassador.

Hon Jeremiah described Ambassador Aworabhi as a technocrat and a rare breed who brought light and direction to the council during his tenure as sole administrator, asserting that he was a model of peace and progress.

The chairman reiterated, "I received the sad news of our leader’s demise as a shock and a significant blow to our people, considering his excellent contributions to the growth and development of the local government, the state, and the nation at large. I urge members of the bereaved family and everyone affected, including myself, to take solace in the enviable life he lived and may his soul enjoy eternal rest."

Also their remarks  Hon. Arionin Digha, Vice Chairperson of Council; Hon. Isaac Amakuro, Political Secretary of Council; Heads of Departments; and High Chief Bright N. Ogbuku t eulogized the life and times of the deceased and prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul. 

Prof. Allison Oguru, former SSG to the Bayelsa State Government,Traditional rulers, Lawmakers among others attended the Valedictory Session.
