Ayakoro Late Paramount Ruler Goes Home On December 12

The late Paramount Ruler of Ayakoro Community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, His Royal Highness, Righteous Inegbagha would be buried on December 12.

The late Royal father died on September 5, 2025 after a brief illness at the age of 74 years.

He was an exemplary traditional ruler with proven track records and indelible achievements, who reign for 20years with wisdom, love, and commitment.

 The  Chairman of the Burial Committee, Chief Puraziba C. Akpoti who disclosed this on behalf of the Chief Mourner, the Deputy Paramount Ruler/Managing Director  and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Deveelopment Commission( NDDC), Chief Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, said that he will be deeply missed by the Ayakoro people and all those who were touched by his leadership.

According to his burial arrangements, service of Songs will hold on Wednesday December 10, at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, All Is Well Area Ayakoro Community, while  traditional wrestling match would hold on Thursday December 11.

He said Friday December 12, by

10.30 the Body would leave Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Otuoke Mortuary, in a Motorcade to Onuebum Community to be received by the Paramount Ruler, Council of Chiefs and Family Members. 

Then, it would proceed 

 to Otuegwe 1 and Ologi Communities for the same reception.

At Ologi by 1:30pm the body  would leave to Ayakoro Community to be received by the Deputy Paramount Ruler, Chief Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Council of Chiefs and the people of Ayakoro Community.

And from there  to HRH Irioso Ogbuku Civic Centre, Ayakoro, to be received by His Eminence King Dumaro Charles Owaba, Obanobhan III of Ogbia Kingdom, His Royal Majesty King Omie Theophilus, Obanobhan of Obhan Anyama, and other Royal Majesties and Traditional Rulers. 

According to Chief Akpoti, the body would be received by the five compound Heads, Chiefs and Elders of the community before it will be lying -in-state at the Paramount Ruler's Palace.

At 7:00pm Till Dawn all Night Christian and Traditional wake keep, Music to be Supplied by Amange Christian Band, and Alfred Jking and De because of Love crew.

On Saturday December 13, by 10.00am the body would leave the Paramount Ruler's Palace in a procession to HRM King P.I.Nathan’s Square for Funeral Service. 

This would be followed at 3.30pm with Music and Entertainment, while  at 7:00pm till Dawn would featured  Barrister Smooth Musical Band Entertainment. 

On Sunday December 14, by 3.00pm would be entertained by Cultural Dance Groups/Martial Arts Display, while at 7:00pm Till Dawn, Christian Wake Keep, Music to be Supplied by Amange Christian Musical Band.

The burial which would be observed for eight days after the preliminary activities would commence on Monday 15th to 19th December with all days and nights, music and dance at His Royal Highness Compound. 

Chief Akpoti stated that the Grand Finale of Late Paramount Ruler’s Burial on Saturday December 20, would feature Alfred Jking and Because of Love Crew from 7.00pm till dawn.

The burial would be rounded off on Sunday by 10.am with Thanksgiving Service at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, All Is Well Area, Ayakoro Community.
